Common faults and troubleshooting methods of high pressure steam boilers

The high-pressure steam boiler realizes the energy conversion equipment that outputs steam or hot water with a higher temperature than that under normal pressure through a high-pressure device. High-pressure steam boilers with good quality are widely used in various industries due to the advantages of structural temperature, long-lasting operation, and reasonable water circulation system. However, users will still have some faults when using high-pressure steam boilers, and it is very important to master the methods of eliminating these faults.

1. The high pressure steam boiler has an overpressure failure phenomenon.
       Failure performance; the air pressure rises sharply and exceeds the rated allowable working pressure, the pressure gauge pointer clearly exceeds the safe red line area, even after the safety valve is activated, the abnormal rise of air pressure cannot be prevented.

       Solution: Immediately reduce the heating temperature immediately, stop the furnace in an emergency, manually open the air release valve, and increase the water supply at the same time, and strengthen the sewage in the lower steam drum to ensure the normal water level in the boiler to reduce the water temperature in the boiler, thereby reducing the Boiler drum pressure.

       Note: Do not start the operation immediately after solving the fault, and comprehensively check the circuit equipment components of the high-pressure steam boiler.

2. The high-pressure steam boiler is full of water.
       Failure performance: The abnormal water volume of the high-pressure steam boiler means that the water level is higher than the normal water level or even the water level gauge cannot be seen. The color of the glass tube in the water level gauge shows a warning color.
       Solution: First, determine the size of the full amount of water, whether it is slightly full or seriously full; then close the water level meter, and open the water connection pipe several times to see if the change in the water level can restore the normal water level. If it is slightly full of water, if it is found to be seriously full of water, the boiler should be stopped immediately and the water should be discharged, and a comprehensive inspection should be carried out.

3. There is a shortage of water in the high-pressure steam boiler.
       Fault manifestation: The water level of the high-pressure steam boiler is obviously too low and lower than the normal water level line, and the exhaust gas temperature of the boiler increases, and the feed water flow is less than the steam flow, and the smell of burnt is obviously smelled.

       Solution: Emergency shutdown, but it is strictly forbidden to add water to the boiler blindly. After determining whether there is a serious water shortage or a serious water shortage, slowly add water to the boiler, and at the same time reduce the intensity of fuel and blast draft.

4. The steam boiler tube burst occurs inside the high pressure steam boiler.
       Fault manifestation: The feed water volume in the boiler is greater than the steam flow rate. Although the feed water flow rate is increased, the normal water level cannot be maintained.

       Solution: At this time, the load should be reduced in a short period of time to maintain operation, until the boiler slowly stops running, and finally the remaining water in the furnace is withdrawn, the furnace temperature and pressure are reduced, and which furnace is exploded and isolated from other steam mains.

       During the use of high-pressure steam boilers, various failures may occur due to improper external operations, unreasonable maintenance, or the quality factors of the equipment itself. The operator has a certain advance understanding of the possible failures and factors. These inappropriate operations can be avoided as much as possible during use to take precautionary measures, and quick judgments and remedial measures can be made when faults occur.
