What factors will affect the thermal efficiency of a gas fired boiler?

2019 / Jun / Mon
The thermal efficiency of a gas-fired boiler affects the benefits that the boiler creates for the company per unit time; on the other hand, it affects the operating cost. The factors affecting the thermal efficiency of the boiler are as follows:

(1)Boiler flue gas emissions carry away some of the heat.

(2)The thermal efficiency of the boiler is affected by incomplete combustion of the fuel.

(3)The boiler water treatment is not up to standard and the boiler maintenance and repair is not timely, resulting in impurities adhering to the inner wall of the boiler, and the boiler heat transfer effect is impaired, which affects the boiler thermal efficiency.

(4) Factors such as excessive boiler blowdown or poor boiler insulation can also cause heat loss in the boiler and low thermal efficiency.
